I believe you disconnect the gnd on the battery and turn on the headlights. That drains all residual power from computer.

we are having similar,xj 97 cherokee stalls and restarts (or not). we have replaced fuel filter, fuel pump, air flow control, plugs, distributor cap, rotor button, crank sender, battery, coil, catalytic converter, still stalling. have noticed ignition is a bit loose and if you wriggle key while running, it can stall.has anyone had ignition causing stalling?

Default Jeep Stalling?

Is there something to buy that will test the battery? Instead of just buying a new one?

Default Jeep Stalling?

Take the battery into a retailer.. Autobahn, super cheap, bursons, repco, all should have battery testers... I know repco definitely does.
