i say go the V8, I got mine a year and a half ago with 20thousand km's less for 8grand less. That's a lot of km's you've gotta drive to make up the difference in better consumption, plus mine is a limited with all the goodies.
Having said that, if i had the cash i'd love one of the diesels. Value for money though i think the V8 is hard to go past.

Yep bugger all LTDs

I worked for JEEP for a few years, the only "oil Leak" with the Diesels was where the hose connects to the Turbo it would weap if the oil was to thin...

No leaks at all with heads, blocks ect ect....

HeHe...you oil burner boys are touchy eh. I should clarify I'm not saying the diesels leak oil or that it's a common problem, having climbed under a few GC's the sumps on V8's have all been dry like new where a few of the diesels have looked weepy. Oil leaks have been mentioned on the forum before though.

The difference in price between Overland V8 & Overland CRD was only 1K when new.

Tasar's is certainly worth considering, it's good value I reckon - as long as you put the $4K away in the bank to supplement the extra fuel .

Seriously if the car prices were equal it's a no-brainer on cost but Tasar has a point.
