It Makes You Wonder If They Have Any Idea At All, Doesnt It. My Dealer Tryed To Sell Me A Set Of Floor Mats, As New Cars Apparently Dont Come With Floor Mats, Anyway, I Didnt Buy Them From Him, I Got A Set Else Where. When The Car Turned Up It Had Floor Mats In It. I Didnt Bring It To His Attention Though. I Just Sold The Spare Set. He Also Didnt Know About The Later Jks Having The Rubi 17 Inch Rims Or The Different Diff Ratios Either.

mate... 460NM torque and 160 horses is hardly underpowered. Its the highest powered 4X4 in its class...

I know for a fact the 08 CRD has 3.73 ratios.

Alos i got floor mats as standard. Depends on the dealer i suppose...

The CRD has 3.73, yes (downgraded from 4.11), but the V6 petrol (Manual and Auto) only has 3.21.

And the V6 doesn't have 460nm of torque sorry to say.

Maybe I should have bought the CRD.

I got '08 JK brochure for Oz. Sad thing is all the info in it based on Chrysler Germany. That's why there's such a mess with diff ratio for JK CRDs. Chrysler US talks to Chrysler in Europe. Chrysler in Europe talks to Chrysler Australia. Nobody knows for sure here.

I've got a manual CRD on order and tried to dig deep deep into this. So, from that brochure auto (petrol OR diesel) gets 3.73 diff ratio, manual petrol - 3.21. A complete mystery for manual CRD. Early MY07 manual CRDs had 4.1 ratio (was proven by measuring rpm, speed and tranny’s gears). Now the brochure says no difference between manual petrol or diesel that’s a bull as every diff mechanic knows there must be a difference between petrol or diesel in diff ratios, I suppose at least for the manual tranny, auto is a different story. No one got the MY08 manual CRD yet ... to jack a wheel, turn it twice and see how many turns the driveshaft has done, or just use the above mentioned method.
