where do you draw the line in the sand is a four wheel drive a vehicle that is driving all four wheels then count my jk out i only drive all 4 wheels when i am in the bush but my freind that just had a baby and wanted a car to put the pram etc in and the only thing that suited them was a captiva that drives all 4 wheels at the same time on the black so do they have to pay more tax ot 2 people but a ford terotry i opts for 2wd the other awd there is very little between the 2 cars but should 1 pay more or a 2wd f250 compared to a 4wd f250 etc etc this is just a load of crap to beat up on 4wd owners again

Voted No as its just crap. As I have said before the council, utilities and the emergency services all use 4x4's in the city as does the Tactical response group.

When is a 4x4 not a 4x4?, when its in 2wd and what about all the AWD's out there, thats a 4x4!

Bloody idiots.

Most 4wd's use lots off fuel , we pay lots of tax on fuel , therefore 4wd owners are already paying more for there choices .
This is discrimination , 4wd owner/drivers should pay less for there fuel as they have to use more-- or-- be able to claim the excess discriminatory tax back pro rata to mile/kilometer-age comparing the vehicles consumption with that of say--- an Australiapost mail delivery mototbike--- as from the way these guys hit the verge's they must be classed as an off road vehicle.
Further 4wd owners/drivers should be encouraged to stay in the CBD and burbs where they will use even more fuel in the jammed up , rooted up road systems , this will ensure thier fair share of taxes keeps being paid in spite of the rebate.

NOW THAT'D BE FAIR

Well the "NO"s have it for the moment, but I bet just before the poll closes there will be a huge rally for the "Yes"s just like last time there was a poll bY the News. If it doesn't suit their story they'll rig it anyway, a***holes!!

I'm all for it.

lol

It will be one more reason not to go to town and see all the pompus asses driving around in vehicles they have absolutely no need for.

As with the firearm control and other situations, its ones with the right to have something that have caused the problems for those with a need to have something.

The persons coming up with these stupid ideas and control actions are only taking advantage of the behaviour and attitude of some members of their target group.
