Hi Palla, I'm in Canningvale. I'm going to get a quote on leveling out the pinch welds today & should be getting the new tyres on in a 2-3 weeks. But I'l keep you posted mate. Where abouts are you located? I was quoted $291 per tyre fitted & balanced at Greg's Tyres for the 245/75/16 BFG M/T

I'd just ask a few lads out in the General Area about those BFG's, I think they said the M/T doesn't stand for MUD Terrain but Multi Terrain , some have said they are very slippery on road in the wet. The Coopers STT's are excellent I've done a lot of driving on them in all conditions , and massive amounts of grip on wet bitumn, they are noisey though, but most MT's are. A4lso the Maxxis from all accounts are very good tyres as well. Just a good idea when spending so much money to look at he options.

You should do that your self, can't see any reason why you should part with you money for that. + It's fun bashing what shouldn't be bashed

Well I'd do it myself but I don't have the required tools for the job... I know I should get some. Anyway getting the pinch welds sorted out in a week. As for deciding between BGF muddies & the Cooper STT's, I was told my 2 tyre dealers that the STT wern't as good as the BFG mud terrian's. ie;side wall issues & alot more noicer than my other choice, hence why I then decided that the BFG' were the better of the two. But as you said you've used them in all conditions and stand by them. I might make a few more calls and have the two tyres compared.

Thanx
Neil

I would have thought that would be the other way around, the Coopers in that size 245/75/16 are a true 10 ply tyre, very very tough, and they have a rim protecting lip to help stop damage to your wheels.

Fouros and Ed do like their Maxxis Mudders as well.

Horses for courses really, buy what you feel you like best a good MT will give you that little bit more offroad capabitity and thats what its all about.
