Possibly the best compressor for fast regular tyre inflation is the Boss air compressor. They're available off ebay for $350+ depending on assesories. I have the original model which was known as the Big Thumper and has done a power of work over the years. If you have oversized tyres & the space to fit one then they are definately the go. Check item # 190240302911.
For a compact compressor the new ARB unit seems to go alright, just don't get it mixed up with the old model which was a slow POS.
The TMax is a fair compressor of average quality & speed. If you want to subscribe to the mag anyway then the compressor would certainly be a bonus.

I picked up a TJM branded air compressor for $250 cash. Works fantastic - I used it on three 4x4's from fairly low pressures to road pressures and it didn't skip a beat. It is bright red - don't know what it is called but sold by TJM.
