Top job Big T and good to see another South Ozzie on here-we seem to be a rarer breed.
Happy camping

What a bargain you got there! I would have kept the gen though so you could have charged you battery back up.
I would vote against having a swing up jockey wheel. I had one and removed it to a removable type as the stones really fly back off it and it gets badly damage sitting there right in the firing line. No fun having to clean it or get covered in mud each time you have to use it either.

Nice job so far Mr T and what a bargain
I bought a roof topper for my trailer project and it is a great quick warm comfortable set up. (would be great to be able to use it one day!)
Would there be a problem to have the kids in another tent?
Im guessing they are still small?
I mounted my swing up jockey wheel on the inside of the drawbar, so when retracted it sits above the low side of the bottom rail.
It gets grubby but not covered in sh!t. Never gets misplaced either...

The future improvements sound great too, spend the cash and get submersible boat trailer LEDs,mount them inside a decent guard and you'll never have to worry again. I also ran seperate cables down each side and joined them in a waterproof box at the front, makes replacing a plug/tail a very simple job.
If you can run an Aux line from the TJ and the right set up you can use this to run your electrics and to charge the battery on the go.

Looking good Tom.
Think i might need to consider something like this in the near future as i have a baby on the way. Never want to part with my tj, so a trailer is a perfect solution to the lack of carrying space..

Big T - I wish I had your luck!! I would defintiely fit electric brtakes (600kgs+ is a lot to stop without brakes). Also, I would worry about the Waeco in the trailer because of vibrations damaging the compressor and the CPU board. If you leave it in the trailer I suggest putting it on a solid bit of 2 inch foam.

Cheers

Congrats on the baby! But that's when it's hard to justify the TJ, that's for sure... If you can hold out until the child is big enough to walk across and get into it's own seat in the back, things get easier. Loading in a kid who can't stand up is difficult.
Get yourself a good chiropracter, and a more sensible, but more boring family car as the 2nd vehicle.

Yeah, I don't know how much of it was luck. The eBay seller had listed it twice, and there was no bids except mine...

It's funny though, people think trailers like this are cheap until they actually look around. I have had mumbled comments from others like "you could have got a 2nd hand camper trailer with canvas for that price"
But I couldn't have actually, and I am trying to keep the weight and size down.

You probably have a point about the fridge. It is already on one layer of those green foam interlocking mats from camping stores. Maybe I should double it up.
