BTW Steve good buy.
Cant wait to see the warrantee and back up you get from a supplier who is prepared to sell you a winch for $400
The winch was an unwanted gift, it didn't come from the supplier directly. My understanding is the tmax is a Brisbane company and parts are readily available/stocked. That's the beauty of ebay, there are individuals selling stuff they don't want and you can get it cheaper than from the supplier or for tmax one of the many resellers.

Cheers
Steve

whats reading about a good Aussie product got to do with your magazine bog,

as you obviously didnt read the first post to successfully, it was a unwanted gift,(supplier should warrant it, it would have a product date from time of manufacture) anyway, not really the point. He got it at a great price, and should be a solid reliable winch for him.

Monday should be good, I'll PM you my number, not sure If I'll sell the bar or recycle it yet, selling it leaves me open to issues if someone gets hurt if it breaks. Anyway, once I decide I'll let you know.

Cheers
Steve

Well done steve. After seeing your previous home made fab bar work, the winch bar will be eagerly awaited.

Well congrats on the price Steve, yeah unwanted gifts are good like that I assumed it was from a dealer- my bad.
Good to know you can buy spares for it, hopefully if its true what Arrons magazines say you wont be needing to repair it.
Another bar fab thread by you will be worth following too.

Arron, nothing like this is an Australian product these days and I'd love to see any manufacturer/dealer honor a warrantee on a second hand product used or not- it just dosen't happen.

i agree with gildos original post . these catalogues you refer to as a magazine will promote what ever they are paid to promote . they cant really say its a good winch after one days testing in controlled enviroments . especially when this good aussie product you refer to is manufactured in china .
