MAN UP AND TELL HER YES!!! you NEED full size wheel or strap in the rear cargo area but you lose alot space or get a tyre carrier but dont get a spce saver tyre ( cars with space savers should be yellow stickered but they are legal despite all the unsafeness about them worse then gettiong 40" rubber on a car IMHO)

happy to put a full size in the back just not sure if the 265 65 17 will fit.We ran lisas zj round town for 9 years without a spare.took spare on trips but didnt get a puncture in all that time(only had 2 punctures in 6 sets of bfg allterrains) I built a custom spare and jerry holder for my zj ,2 sets of tyres,7 years and Ive never used the spare.

It Will not Fit, so you will stink your car out smelling like rubber cause its in the boot and you will loss most of your Boot space...

Id build i rear carrier then thats the best option... other wise Put smaller Tyres on

Theres a few options for swingaways.
Formula offroad do a towbar mounted system, you can also get a generic kit which would need brackets fabricated from offroad systems (Aus).
Theres 2 complete bumper replacement systems in the US ,kennesaw mountain & (I think its called ) offroad systems.
Of course theres always the option of getting it, or making it custom.
Kevins offroad (US) do a bracket to mount to factory roof rack.
