Besides the Narva, does anyone have any recommendations on even better ones ... but not the $80 jobbies thanks 'coz I need x 4. Getting tight, the latest shipment of chrome has blown my budget to hell
the p/n i stated was a narva part.

it is actually 48881 - BL is for blister pack which is more expensive - but most stores dont like giving away the 48881's coz they are mainly for trade, blister packs are for the retail.

those arctic blues i mentioned are only about $45 for 2 bulbs and 2 T-10 wedgies... maybe someone can clarify this further, but i dont think the wedgies will be any use coz most of them are a bayonette parker - well the xj's and my yj are, dunno about the tj's.

they are a hotter element with a light blue tint on the glass - so ultimately it puts off a much whiter light at night rather then yellow, so itll be heaps clearer when your driving at nite.

i had them in my lantra, i thought they were excellent compared to standards.
i've got ultra blues in the yj currently.

Cheers Alex, have read up on them but am not spending $300 on 4 bulbs, that's a piece of chrome!

Thanks Scott, my other major concern is having to upgrade the wiring loom or cracking light cover if I don't ... are the Narva's fine without an upgrade. All this power drawing, input/output stuff is terribly confusing for a mechanical clutz.

No typo - they are designed for low beam high output - use your driving lights for high beam.

I run them and they didnt cost $200 for a pair - not even close.

no, they dont draw anymore power, and they dont make the lense any hotter then they already get.

its just the element inside the globe which glows alot brighter.

gez knows i'd get you a discount anyway, you just gotta call me before hand.

the fat boys when we had them in our old XJ were about $130 for the pair, and then a small labour charge to fit the upgraded looms.

Scott, FB's don't need upgraded looms though!

Had a ball in Repco today, poor wee lads Got all sorts of girlie mod type goodies, the Narva +50 globes x 2 sets, fire extinguishers (finally) x 2 and other "stuff" (some double-ups much to he who owns the credit cards chagrin).

Now to get down & dirty & get these dang globes in ..... 'tis all well & good for you boys born with a wrench in your hand; we girlies have to try extra hard to figure stuff out, and then there's the very long fingernails to preserve
