Ben, do as Geoff sez and take the belt off & see if it goes away. most common is the idler &/or tensioner pulley bearing (thats where my money is). wouldnt be the balancer (unless its come apart and rubbing on something). other possibilities: clutch fan, water pump, dizzy bushes (although more of a chirping sound), power steering pump or stretched timing chain. doubt its internal to the motor itself but you are getting up there in kms
Tried everything, even my bluetooth headphones!!
Just took the belt off and the noise has stopped!! Could be A/C comp or maybe the pulley just under the alternator, but still no obvious sound when turning everything!!
Also took out the electric fan and my under 2 year old radiator seems to be leaking as well...
