Electrics not weighing up to well though.

You could always try hydrogen made a kit for a 4cyl pajero that made a noticeable result, also tried on a 3.9ltr v8 range rover, didn't work at all on the larger motor.
I found a kit awhile ago that boasted a 30% fuel savings on the wj, but doubt it works anywhere near that well/at all on a 4.7 ltr, doesn't seem to be available anymore though.

Don't need any help making it harder

Look for HHO generators.

A scalable system can work for as big an engine as you want.
Clean fuel source, a bit tricky to set up correctly but another cool idea.

i meant it more as a joke anyways found it to be pretty corrosive on the intake plus its extremely volatile, so producing large amounts can end badly.

I bought a WG 4.7HO and after a TJ and about 5 XJs it was the reason why I no longer have a Jeep. Every time I talk to the local dealer about a Rubicon, I remember that the WG cost me thousands in engine rebuilds which included two second hand heads. Oh, and a marriage......which meas a house etc......
