I love it how you said your not going extreme on this build. Would love to see extreme. This thing is a weapon already.

Cheers all...

Luke - Swaybar disco and locker button is on the right next to/below the steering wheel...

Brad - my last 'toy' was running front and rear steer D60's, full hydro steering, 40" tyres, Atlas tcase, powerglide tranny and a 5.7L LS1! I guess everything is relative!

Not much work on her today... had a funny other things to catch up on the 'honeydo' list.

I started installing the extended brake lines (finally found the motivation), but then realised that I am missing 4 brackets from the kit! So, moved on to other stuff I have been putting off.

Mocked up the mud flaps... no not like, but gotta keep Mr Plod happy. Will get the rubber sorted, and get them on 'soon'. THey will be a bit wider and a bit longer than this:

...and finally got around to wiring up the camper power (for charging the camper batteries)... 2 x circuit breakers you can see here on the right of the battery are for the trailer charging power, and the brake controller:

...and then alot of awkward routing of wires under the car - mostly on top of the frame rail - around the back and up to the engine bay. I put the power just to one side of the tow hitch - the trailer plug connection is on the other side. Theory is they are both relatively protected by the hitch etc, so hopefully won't get slammed.

Also adjusted the D2's, and messed with other random stuff here and there...

Busy coupla w/e's coming up, so no updates expected for a while!

G'day Firetruck

Did you have to cut the rear pinch seam and rubi rails before you could drive it? I've got a 2 inch mopar lift, and will soon be getting my DBOR flares on, and then from there going to get my 35s put on. Im wondering if the 35's will fit OK to drive back home, and then I will cut the pinch seam and rails after I've seen how much and at what angle I need to cut (ie once the tyres are on). Just not sure if it will rub too bad prior to cutting to drive it home? I'm getting the same tyres, MT MTZ 315/70R17 on 17x9s with 4.5 inch backspacing

You'll be right to get home, just don't hit any speed bumps at speed... before trimming (details and pics are earlier in this thread) mine just touched on one side if I hit a decent bump.

Thanks mate, actually ended up contacting Bill from DBOR to see if he could do it, and he can. So he's going to do it when he's doing my flares. Bit nervous to take the grinder to my new beast.
