The planets aligned for me at my last refill, I managed to put 70L with heaps of tinkering. Usually I've only got 60-64L in the bugger. At the moment she's just hit the red light at 450Kms about 100kms better than ever before.

So I'm now not bothering about how many kms I get for a whole tank just measure how many kms after she's on empty I can get away with so I know when I'm going to run out.

Yes, once again this thread is being revived.

Recently i've been getting bad economy - or so i thought. I just havn't been keeping track of it. It beeps, i fill it. So i decided to start keeping track again.

I just got 420klm on my speedo today when the fuel light buzzed me at Southport. I then drove into Brisbane and then back home giving me the total of around 485klm before i got home. I still havn't filled it yet so i hope i can make it to the servo tomorrow. I havn't included the 8% speedo difference due to the 31's and i did the whole tank mostly with my 3-piece bikini top (factory top is in the cupboard ) and around 100klm today completely topless.

This gives me just over 13L/100klm which i am quite happy with.

One day I'll get around to filling the tank and then running it dry, I'd love to know how far I can go on the red, but my guage is sooo ************ that I panic as soon as I get red and fill it back up again!

I was just wondering bout fuel economy the other day, i used to get around 400kms to a tank with my stock + 30's TJ. But after my 4" lift just recently ive noticed an increse in this gas guzzler. Probly getting round 340 to the tank now n i wouldn't hav thought that 4" of aerodynamics would make that much of a difference.

I also run my TJ on PULP all the time becoz of the significant reduction in pinging from Regular. Do alot of u do the same or do u just put up with the pinging? Is there long term damage to consider if u do?
