Interesting, it's an 09 recall. 8 years is a litle long even for Chrysler R&D, pre prod, test and eval, production, QC and shipmment processes... Also strangely it's NOT on the product safety Australia recall database as far as I can tell. Which makes me wonder maybe it doesn't effect RHD but the dealers knowing about it and knowing the towbar I'dd think they are the same for lhd and rhd.

Sadly I don't think so!

It is a possible issue with the Mopar towbar, I believe, so applies to any JK with a MOPAR towbar only. If you have an aftermarket that is identical to the OEM, you are SOL.

JK Mopar towbars for Australia and New Zealand are made by Best Bars. US tow bars, I'm not sure who makes them.

Probably made on the same design, I'm guessing. But a recall only covers OEM components, so if you have the OEM they do the recall, but an identical to OEM third party part isn't their problem.
Which is fair enough, really.

Well I've got my third notification for the clock spring..... might have to get it done just to stop the trail of registered letters.
I'm starting practicing my drop off instructions.....
Don't touch ANYTHING else but the clockspring.
Don't touch ANYTHING else but the clockspring.
Don't touch ANYTHING else but the clockspring.
Don't touch ANYTHING else but the clockspring..... or ELSE.

So I got the driver clock spring done today 7 hour job... They were getting esp christmas tree effect. I'm not certain but I think they must have to flash the computer for this job and if you have varied your wheel alignments they have to re-enter them.
I told the service rep not to do anything other than the recall work. I should have also said pass on to the tech my wheel alignment is not standard and what I had.
Also got some more information on J24 towbar. It is the Front towbar that was apparently only fitted to very few vehicles. I only got this because I read the statement of work and they stated can't inspect towbar due to aftermarket bullbar. I was like wtf? but yeah it is the front towbar not the rear one and the can't inspect it because it can't be fitted in conjunction with the arb bullbar at least. so happy days. I think it will be very rare that anyone has the Mopar optional front tow hitch in Aus but their must be a couple out there they are trying to track down.
Happy days though cars running perfect so far
