Sorry, couldn't help myself. Everytime I see a black wrangler advertised on car sales as Rare black, I chuckle a little. Dont get me wrong, as long as its a Jeep, it doesn't matter what colour it is!

There's that many out there I would really appreciate some advice/guidance from those who've been in my situation before.

I'm running 285/75/17s and think 2 - 2.5 inch would suit my current and near future requirements.

It needs to be something that's agreeable enough on road for the missus to drive when I'm away at work, and then capable enough for us to chew trails on the weekends!

I've been trolling through these forums and the vendor pages and I like the look of the DBOR Rookie Kit or an AEV 2.5 similar to the one Adrian93 has in the pictures below..

Anyone have any experience with these? I would be getting it freighted and fitting it myself.

Cheers
Welcome to the forum Ruuuusty, great to have another coastie on here. I will be getting a 3inch AEV kit with suspension stuff springs fitted by Stu at Murchison products when I head up to QLD in a couple of months. Give him a call and let him know what you are after. Should be able to sort out what you need and ship it.

Give me a shout if you are heading out locally.

Hey, nothing wrong with the rare black - technically I guess thats what mine is

Everyone calls it black but when you park it beside a black one its not.. Its Dark Charcoal Pearl that was released midway into the MY2010 then then all the pearl colours were pulled due to the paint chip factory in Japan being destroyed.

Dark Charcoal Pearl never came back and never seems to be mentioned!

BT, short answer is alot. But I dont use my rear view much anyways. I have a rear camera which I can display at any time through an aftermarket headunit. Having driven alot of vehicles with no rear view (trucks, etc) I am used to relying on side mirrors. The camera works a treat especially when reverse parking.
