The ones I got from Jaycar had six flat LED's on each festoon type LED globe. Direct fit into the original location and bright as. The ones from the other place had three LED's on one side and they were the old fashion type LED. Very similar to the ones we used back in high school electronics tech. The latter like I said were useless.

Regards A

I think I went a bit over the top by removing the festoon bulb holder in the cargo area light and was able to fit three boards for a total of 36 LED's, that's enough to give me sunburn or fade the carpet
With the doors and tailgate open there's a pool of light 12ft+ around the truck. I'm going to do the same and use one of my spare XJ overhead consuls and mount into the roll cage in the CJ, should be good on a night run thru Glasshouse

Today I managed to fit the replacement steering box then I went to fit a replacement drag link and noticed like my original one it too had a split in it. Damn it won't pass rego with a split in the boot.

Regards A

Hey Anthony, I had a look in my parts bin and found my last rod end boot. Mate it's yours if it will get you out of trouble.

Feel free to PM me with your address/phone # and I'll get it away to you in the post on Monday so you should have it Wednesday.

fitted the winch. Had to remove the bar as it was just a little too big to fit from underneath, made the job a whole lot easier to be honest.

Stuck the bar back on and wired it up. Was about to get the works cruiser out to act as an anchor to tension the cable on the drum but the cruiser is dead! so much for famed reliability. Guess I'll need to get that fixed so I can get back to work. Either that or drive the jeep and look way cooler in the car park!

Next I think I'll make my own disconnects by grabbing a few wingnuts
