I just had the Australian Long Range auxiliary tank fitted. An extra 75 litres on board, giving me a total of around 168 litres of diesel.

At 8.5 litres/100 kms that gives me around 2000 litres range not towing. Towing at say, 12 litres/100 kms it is around 1400 kms.

If I take 4 jerry cans full of fuel on the Crossover that gives me more like 250 litres or around 2000 kms range.

The fitting took ALL DAY! I dropped the car off at around 8:30 am and got it back well after 5 pm.

The tank sits neatly under the tail and the transfer pump switch and gauge has been fitted on the flat black plastic panel just in front and to the right of the gear lever:

The tank:

Pull out your spare tyre and check where they put the screw for the earth strap, some who have had tank fitted have found they put the screw through body work under spare tyre and screw was rubbing on tyre

Yoda

Thanks for the heads up! I had a look and there appears to be a small bump on the passenger side at around 7 o'clock, looking from the rear.

It seems rounded and inoffensive, but it is under the carpet and VERY hard to get to.

Cheers

Keep an eye on it if that's the point of a screw it could wear through the carpet
