If I had a problem I used my brain, a pencil & paper to work it out.... & the'Old Skool Way' still even works if your suffering constipation
I did some 4.0L XJ block etc measuring this arvo;
Was thinking 'Bigger is BETTER and 4.9L Stroker is best.... Na, cost will not fit my budget, now thinking 258 crank & rods(short rod option & use stock height 4.0L pistons)= 4.6L approx depending on how much I have to bore it and now I want to go for 9.7 to 10.2 SCR after cam selection(CR that high won't be a prob coz going to run 98oct anyway)...... so now worked out the ideal head to match RPM could very well be the 0331 to give the bottom end torque/intake velocity after calculating swept volume, combustion chamber capacity, cam duration, lift, profile + RPM range only if I can find correct camshaft...... This is doing my head in ATM
When it comes to finding tech info on Sh?t the net is the bomb but way to many options ![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

have u looked at jeep strokers?
I found some very usefull info on that.
I went with long rods and forged pistons in the end.
A 96 zj block ported 0331 head and comp 242 cam.
Middle of the road, nothing wild recipie.
It might be worth ditching the obd1 PCM & loom for a pre update obd2 setup - they can be completely remapped the obd I can not.
Good luck with it.
