Day 3 of new ecu and its still hasnt gone back to having the issue yet.
Over the last few years I have read 3-4 people who have had failing MSD coils. My original was in there for 15 years without any issue apart from cracking. I replaced it with a one that looks identical to the original only because of the cracks and it was fine two years later.

A quick and easy method is to add an extra main leaf from another Xj leaf pack (after the eyes are removed of course), the issue with the Xj is it's very light so it doesn't take much to make the ride harsh/rough/bouncy...

I like the Old Man Emu springs (not the shocks), keep an eye out for a set of springs second hand...
You never did answer what style connectors you have on yours!!!

Have you tried welding 15 odd year old exhaust pipe with a stinky old stick welder and 15 year old box of 4113 GP electrodes

I think I am now officially 63 years old!!!!!

Honestly, as you know I like to DIY but just take it in to an exhaust shop for a new tail pipe, it'd cost stuff all, quick, easy and new plus less frsutration and probably a whole lot neater, if you were dealling with newer pipe with a decent welder maybe it'd be ok.....
