Thanks heaps for sharing that one Glend!
Tranny oil, filters & drain valve & torque converter upgrade are among scheduled maintenance / ongoing reliability improvements for this year.

A NOTE Re FUSES:.....a slightly better option:
I am also replacing the fuses with LED failure warning fuses - an LED lights when the fuse fails - so even in the dark you can do a quick pick up of the faulty one. X-Jaycar.

For accessories like the gauges that need to be linked to a circuit like headlights - mine dim automatically when the lights are switched on - like others I use the fuses with tails - again X Jaycar - also with the indicator LEDS. I think others (maybe Fouros) here use tailed fuses also but from another supplier.

Default Injector Parts

So, I contacted VM Diesel in the UK and they're sending over 4 plates and 4 bolts for GBP36.50, inclusive of postage, which I think isn't bad at all. I'd have paid twice that if I ordered it here. It should be here early next week.

Cheers bazz for that info. They really provided great service. I might have a different opinion when the parts never arrive, but so far it's all good.

Glad to help mate..as I said earlier, they are good to deal with..if the bits don't get there, it will be the courier company, not them. I don't have any problems getting my stuff and I am surrounded by crooks and highwaymen in this part of the world.

Let's know when you have it up and running again.

I got most of it, but the mechanic failed to tell me that there's a small plate that goes in at the top that was completely missing when he opened it up. So the previous owner never put the plate in there and that's most likely what caused the injector to pop loose. He managed to find one in WA and it should be here today or tomorrow. Hopefully it'll all be sweet when he puts everything together, but there's no guarantee, because we don't know whether the top's cracked as a result of all this.

I think if it's all okay now, I'll be taking it to a Jeep dealership or specialist to have them hook it up to the computer and check it over properly so we can fix everything before it becomes an issue.
