Dont get it on machined aluminum surfaces. It will mess them up.

Needless to say, the XJ is a write off.
Both left hand doors, B and C pillars, floor and roof, all knackered.

Poor thing has been sitting on my lawn for months

Tried to bleed the brakes for the literal 10th time this time with a bleeding kit and STILL it has air in the system.

i have a feeling the rear drums need rebuilding or at least some work.

Still undrivable after months so i am going to get it towed next week.

Front ball joints still need doing as well apart from that its not to bad apart from having NO BRAKES including handbrake.

And oh joy my shitty insurance with roadside doesnt cover where i need to get it towed too without a ********load of 'extra' k charges.

Dont go with Budget Direct people!

Cars can be replaced, glad to hear you are both ok, hopefully it hasn't hurt his enthusiasm with driving.

Another reason why windscreen replacement should be done regularly, as part of a Vic RWC, not sure where you are Bruggz, the windscreen should be checked. It's just laminated glass and as it ages the laminate frosts up in sunlight. You can check it yourself with a LED light peering through the windscreen from the drivers seat wiping the light over the front of the glass
