Another reason why windscreen replacement should be done regularly, as part of a Vic RWC, not sure where you are Bruggz, the windscreen should be checked. It's just laminated glass and as it ages the laminate frosts up in sunlight. You can check it yourself with a LED light peering through the windscreen from the drivers seat wiping the light over the front of the glass
Cheers for the tip, man.

I'm in NSW, so it should be picked up during it's pink slip.

Honestly, I never knew that about the windscreens.

Makes sense to me know though, as it used frustrate me that I couldn't get it 'properly' clean.

Plumbed it in bypassing the radiator heat exchanger, might install a thermostat before next winter if it takes too long to warm up.

Now looking for either a good HP D30 with petrol ratio or front & rear with diesel ratio.

First impressions are the Trans warms up quicker than before (go figure - guess it's no longer trying to warm up the radiator before the coolant thermostat opens) and driving around town keeps to under 70/75*C @ the sump with the thermofans cycling which is within FSM spec (50-80*C) - it's in front of the Taurus fan. Summer will be another story though.
In addition, the temp actually drops as quickly as the coolant with the thermofans on - rather than just holding until the torque converter gets lockup for a while. About 10-15*C in 5 mins.

Happy days.

Sorry about the incident bruggz, glad you're ok.
