Yes thanks JeanLuke, I think I remember you ordered some. Hope they solved your brake drag. Did you have any problems with the pistons sticking like I did?
Working through it now. I did the brackets because the old ones were badly worn and the new pads squealed. Awaiting new pistons and seals. Figured that if I was doing the pistons, might as well do the seals.
Yes new dust seals, pistons and piston rings and new brackets the brakes will be in as new condition.
When I was putting the new pistons in I felt I was having to put too much pressure on the piston to get it past the new piston ring just using dot3 as lube as per the factory manual. So I used some red rubber grease on the ring and the piston and it went in much nicer. The grease said it was for brake part assembly.
Anyway my WGs brakes are working great again, should be good for another 100,000km! Hope yours work out the same.
