Thanks!
The ceiling is only 2.7m tall, so the jeep will go up 1 meter at most. Still better than sitting on the ground and on jackstands

If all goes well, the team is starting on the walls next week.

Pressure tested the intercooler. It bubbles on the weld near the inlet. It took about 15 minutes to go from 15psi to 10psi. Is it worth worrying about?

Yeah, I just hit it with some Selley's Knead-It Steel. See how it goes. It looks like a pinhole. The leak is very slow. It still runs, but this may explain why I am noticing a few degrees increase in running temperature. (Not overheating, just a little warmer than it used to run.)

I'd probably not be too concerned with type of leak JeanLuke. I'd be surprised if it was contributing to temp increase.

I've already cleaned the area with isopropyl alcohol and puttied it. First drive and check suggests it's held. I haven't had time to redo the pressure test, yet.

My WJ has been in Brisbane for a the last couple of months. And it's been parked under a shade sail which as I've learnt can concentrate the volume of water that hit's your car.

Anyways, jumped in the Jeep last Monday, opened OK, started OK ran OK for about 10 minutes.

Then the fun started.

The gauges would stop working, then I had no AC, just heat. I couldn't wind the windows down from the drivers or passenger door controls. I had a few codes thrown that indicated a PCI bus issue, something like a J1850 comment error.

So I start investigating and think I may have some broken wires int he drivers door. Got out to the car and locate the driver/passenger footwells are full of water so start the process of drying them out. Then check the codes and clear them across all of the modules which took forever as there were lots of codes.

I had found that WJ DiagPro has the ability to talk to the diver/passenger door modules. There are a number of tests you can perform like unlock, wind down etc. I could do this on the passenger but not the driver.

After a bit of poking around and drying out the car for an hour or so everything just started to work again. I suspect there's a connector that was wet and creating some data communications problem with the PCI Bus. This explains why multiple modules couldn't talk to each other because the bus was corrupted.

So far all's good but you never really know. Moral of the story is if you have a heap of things that don't work, check the data communications bus first as this could be creating the problem. I didn't need to do this but the standard troubleshooting methodology is to start disconnecting peripheral modules to see which one improves the situation.

Buggered if I know where the water int he car came from though, hopefully it was just related to an extremely high volume of water like 100mm in under two hours one evening.

If you need to dry out under the carpet I've found a hair dryer works a treat much faster than many of the options.

Mine has the exact same leak, in the exact same location. Hasn't been getting any worse, and I am just planning on fixing it up next service. Going to try brazing it.
