it was sold as a new vehicle, its a POS - end of story.

if it were a used vehicle I would expect these things, that's all part of the fun right

On the other hand maybe you are being too critical?

The dealer giving you a POS loan car is a sign of good will if you ask me. Perhaps they are trying to make a decent effort to resolve the issues?

maybe my JK just hasn't lived up to reasonable expectations, even for Jeep, in terms of quality?
(keep this in context my JK, no-one elses)

as you know Yom - they have been "trying" for coming on 5 months now. I have to draw a line in the sand at some point, or they could continue trying for years to come!

they gave me the loan car coz they didnt get the work finished by the Friday, so missed out on another trip yet again. it's embarassing for the Jeep brand everytime i miss a trip - why? coz every other make turns up consistently

come on one of my club trips as it is usually the tojos or pootrols that are not in working order and dont get me started on the sangyong. Not saying the Jeeps are exempt but thats not the norm here

Hey Guys,

Given the flavour of threads (including my controversial one) I just thought I would share something with you that I had a good laugh at last night.

Its for those that may may bought thier jk's with high expectation in regard to its every day practcalities (like me) but love it for everything else.

Check out page two of the 2009\10 Warn catalogue - the picture says it all for those who love it offroad but hate it onroad.

Classic - Pure Gold

The main problem with the JK is that it has become so popular; that people that would not normally drive this type of vehicle are buying it and expecting it to drive, handle and have the fuel economy of what they would have otherwise purchased.... an AWD; like Forrester, Territory, Rav 4, Outlander, Vitarra etc.
This is what happens when people make a buying decision on fuzzies instead of practicalities of use.
Unfortunately allot of these buyers just want a mall crawler, will never do any real off road work but still mod the jeep because it looks cool with the top down cruising the late’ strip...
I saw one yesterday, 3’lift, 18”wheel’s, 35’s, front bar, spotties, detonator yellow, top down and a young 20 ish barbie doll dressed to the nines.
This truck will never see more than maybe a cruise down south to the wine region.

No offence intended to all the ladies here who use their Jeeps for their intended purpose.

I disagree on that one, the sales figure of JK is around 250-ish /month in Australia, hardly a 'popular' vehicle. The main problem is chrysler/jeep's inability to build a quality vehicle. In chrysler's own words "(quality system)was not effectively organized, and that new launches had below average quality, with an overall inadequate rate of improvement" and a significant jump on warranty repair for MY2007, MY2008 vehicle.
