noticed steam out of the exshaust. the head gasket is surely gone. back to the garage tomorrow and let the repairs commence
the stealership can kiss my exhaust pipe. i'm not going to fork out 470AUD just to have them remove the heads and check them.
i really don't want to drive it anymore and risk getting water in the cylinders.
also called vm specialists in the uk and they seem friendly. too bad i can't order anything untill i take the heads off.

It works as I have mounted my Recaro's on the stock rails. Ran 50x3 SHS crosswise on top of some flat. Need to trim the front tunnel side ends of the SHS to clear the hump.

50 x 3 I am assuming that is 50mm square, 3mm wall thickness. 50mm seems like a lot, to put on top of the base then the seat, I don't have 50mm above my head in the XJ. Or am I missing something.
