Not a big deal visually as it can't be seen without removing plastic clips and looking under that cardboard type of material under the front wheel arch. The problem is the paint had peeled off a large area to bare metal with all the bending and twisting and was starting to rust.
It seems that the bent bits you are talking about is part of the installation process. But they should have painted over where the paint had cracked for sure. I've got mine on order from the US. But this is the installation guide for them.

I thought it was a bit rough too. Not as if it was a small chip of paint but all good now.... also did underneath with black sound deadener/rust paint while it was still nice and clean.
This was the second Trail Hawk I got... the first one I only had for a couple of days before I looked underneath and found a huge dent and hole in the floor... looked like it might of happened when someone unloaded it off a truck or something and didn't tell anyone.

Hey any Trail Hawk owners have difficulty with comprehensive insurance category?
I ended up saying put it in as a GC Limited which doesn't match replacement value, interested in what others have done.

Thanks, Although APIA don't have a Trailhawk box to tick, agreed value should be enough insurance (sic).
