I just primered it and used some auto paint, straight from the can. Good thing too as it's easy to touch up and has already needed a bit after a removalist trailer got dragged across the drivers side corner (no damage though). To be honest if you're going to the trouble of making a bar and carrier you may as well do the sides as well as they are the bits that get dragged the most anyway.

Cheers
Steve

Hey Steve. Thought I would start posting in here to get ideas for my Rear bar.

I am thinking twin carrier (I only carry 30s so don't see a problem). The weight would almost be twice what you put on...do you think it would be ok? You mentiond before using angle where it attaches to Chassis? What do you mean?

If I were to do this I would think I would have to install both LED Brake and indicator lights.

I used flate bar where it slides into the frame, I'd replace it with angle If I was hanging two tyres off it.

Make this larger than I did and run angle into it

You can see the flat bar I used.

Cheers
Steve

Steve,
Love your worK, it's very inspiring!
Where did you get your axel stub and pivot from?
I've found the axel stub at trailer parts stores but where does the pivot come from ?
