I replaced my POS cheap arse extractors that I thought were cracked. They had failed on a linished and polished weld.

I purchased some headers off WOODERS. I think "rugged ridge" brand. Same design but not polished. The welds looked beefier and the flange that fits to the head was thicker like the intake manifold. No cut and shut on the No. one pipe either. There on E BAY. From Hornsby.

ok, another try to post in the "right spot" as per rustynuts kind instruction, please accept my apologies if I am double posting, and general stupidity etc

been checking out how my "new" vehicle goes, and reading a bit of forums and FSM.

Thx Rusty for pointing me in the right direction (here hopefully), as I have a few questions.

My XJ has a small brass plate saying 10/96, a sticker on PS rear pillar saying 7/96, Compliance 7/97 and Jeep VIN check shows 6/96

I have downloaded a 95 and 97 FSM...does one exist for '96?
Is my vehicle classified as a 96 or 97? ...(it has a fibreglass tailgate, single airbag, no abs)

It appears the rear seat headrests prevent the rear seat folding fully forward, and these cannot be easily removed? (I could swear on a similar age XJ he showed me they could fold forward) ?

What is the location of the OBDII port on this model ?

Where is the engine number stamped on the block?
(saw white paint marks on the engine that would be indicative of a replacement, although not shown on rego)

I will probably do nearly all of the work on this vehicle, as I usually do, and possibly grab a wrecked one, as I have some space, there was a few candidates for about $500 hopefully

The one I got ended up costing me $1800, with a rebuilt rear end, it has some minor dents and appears stock. I will be installing a new headlining fabric (its black, but has good A/C)

Default airbags

Hey junglejuice

Where'd you get the airbags, got a brand and model? was looking at a set of Firestone 9000 Tapered Sleeve Bags which look similar to your original bags, Like the look of your new ones
