My window makes noises at the top and bottom too. Like a clicking noise and the motor wants to keep going.
Please let us know how you fixed it.

anyway does anyone in aus sell 3" lift springs for xj? it seems its a very australian thing to only sell 2" lift springs to keep it "legal"
i have 3 inch spring spacers at the moment and the height is good but i wouldnt mind using proper springs instead

I've found that you can get the Old Man Emu 2.5-3" spring codes and supply them to an ARB dealer and they can get them in. Let me know if you're interested and I'll dig them up.

Ditto. Been living with it for almost 7 years.
Our family mechanic seemed to think it was to do with the switch but i was doubtful of that.

Definitely not the switch. It's like the motor is off the track and not catching to realize that the window is full up or down.

This mornings effort, front Jk's out, super soft Fat Bob's in with custom BPE's.
Time to see how they ride for a while to see if they'll be suitable for the Cape....

My drivers side does this. Was told its the drive mechanism slipping on one of the gears. saw on ebay once a kit to fix it by bracing a plastic bit with metal.

Sounds like enough souls searching for a good write-up on it...
