well it looks like i have had some luck, seems the leak was mainly from the pan gasket. It must of just been having a hard time in the soft sand drive and forced it to spray everywhere. Have replace the gasket and put new oil in and over a 30min drive it didnt drop any oil.

For once seems luck has gone my way.

All good Cam "sandjunkie", now she is fixed im going to be moving it on i think. Im just not getting the jeep thing lol.

Real pitty as im going to loose alot of $$ from this build but both myself and the mrs think going back to a toymota or missing bits is the way to go.

Aspecially with our trip through the centre next year, the thought of doing a repair on this thing in the middle of nowhere makes my skin crawl lol.

If someone wants to grab a xj with lots of $$$ spent on it have a look at ebay, youll see it. For someone that does not mid working on the XJ's it would probably be a good buy.

Once again guys thanks for all the help, it has certainly been an eye opener and i have found jeep drivers to be great compared to the norm im used to dealing with that drive the mainstream rigs.

Keep up the good work guys!

I know you have had a few dramas with this build but if you cant sell why not use it for awhile that way you might get some satisfaction out of it. Jeeps are not all bad and it sounds like you are over the worst of it come out for a wheel sometime.
