Hi again! Did some measuring up yesterday, and every time I visit the site I get more excited! It really is a sensational site for the Jamboree. The river has heaps of water in it (remember, literally a metre from the marquee!), the sponsors areas are getting mapped out (near the marquee along the edge of the river). A few of us met with the local Lions Club who are going to do brekky at the show'n'shine on Saturday and at the Jambo Sunday and Monday, and also met with the bakery who are going to deliver bread milk papers etc to the jambo each morning, as well as giving us an order form where you can order rolls, eggs, whatever you like to be delivered the following morning. Anyone going to the Marysville bakery and flashing their wristband will also get a free cappucino!
I also called into the 2 Narbethong servos to make sure they have plenty of fuel for the weekend. One has ULP and LRP, the other has ULP, LRP, PULP and LPG - his price for ULP was cheaper than Melb when we were there yesterday! The servos are also going to look after us with free coffees or something - details to come.....
