For the Recce tomorrow we have so far:

Frank Marson, Tony Whitehead, Ari Cohan, Dave Dailey, Chris Katsivelis, Ed Jones, Matthew Gatt, Norm Taylor, Trent Godby, Dan Martin, Daniel D'Mello and I will show up too.

12 cars, so we can do 4-5 groups going on trips - which is good .

See you all at 9 am at the Bakery in Marysville.

Cheers Oli

Anyone know what phone coverage is like around taggerty? I have telstra digital. I'm only asking as my wife is due around muster time, and I need to head back (only an hour), if it happens to be that w/e. Will there be a uhf based at the caravan park? Would that even work, with track distances? Does anyone have a satphone that would be going on 'A' - 'B' grade stuff? Any advice?
Cheers, JASON.

The phone coverage around the tracks is sometimes o.k. and in some areas you won't have any luck. We will have UHF radios at the caravan park, but no large scale UHF which wil be able to reach you on a trip far away from the camp, so the phon enumber from the caravan park might not be a way out of it, however a second chance. We also have no Satphone which we will take on trips. We just went today on a recce and it was actually quite hard to find the hard stuff. It started to rain in the afternoon and it was more fun, but we need to wait if the wetness stays until next week. We will have First Aid covering the Muster (OzJeeper) and if we can not reach him on his mobile from the track somebody needs to drive out until phone coverage is available.

Not much advise I can personally give you Jason, I had three phone calls today from work and two messages while on the track, but that was with Optus - I assume Telstra is either the same or even better.

Cheers Oli

We went on the last recce today and besides the A-Grade stuff (which I have no feedback yet - Tony?) we could not find a lot of hard tracks. The B-Grade trips will depend on the weather conditions. A little rain during the trip will make some tracks very interesting, which can be quite easy in the dry. Thanks for everybody to show up today .

We will finalise the trips and all other items by ANZAC day and I will send out the welcome e-mail to everybody who has registered including detail information about the events.

One emphasize we have to set already. The caravan park was very nice to allow us to use the area for the Muster, so we need to ask everybody attending to obey by the rules of the caravan park and respect them throughout the weekend. Especially the speed limit (5 km/h) inside the caravan park. More to come...

Hope to see you all at the Muster next weekend.

Cheers Oli

Thanks for the advice oli tj. I(and more importantly my wife), are happy with that. I'll also try hook up with someone on the trips I go on that has 'next G', apparently better if you believe the marketing. It hopefully should all be good.
It will be great to put some of the names on this forum to faces and meet other jeepers as I am new to the club thing. My passion for jeep and wheeling should fit right in, and I hope this will be just the beginning of many more wheeling adventures.
Cheers, JASON.

Oli. Pretty good stuff. Sound like a broken record though. If its wet it will be wicked. Did Jo's both directions, that was a great climb. Found a very overgrown track that would be a great night drive. We had a breakage though so we called it in early. More details to come though.
