I think they will only increase in value if in good to very good condition. Anything that has been played with extensively or with body damage won't.

the reason I got mine is the 4.0 engine and trans are very long-lasting, and can be be fixed or replaced within reason, not so much with Jap or Euro 4wds.

(seller advised me the diesel and 4.7 were also too risky)

most 200k+ though, so not many peeps are keen

wouldnt like to wash their undies when they get a 5k bill for their 10yr old machines though.

a spare can be had for around $1k, so if you have space the beasts can be kept going longtime

The US prices now are starting to reflect that.
An interesting thing, I spotted this XJ in Thailand recently.

Built well, like ones we have in Australia, but the pricetag on this one is 750'000thb which is near on 28k AUD

I do like the two tone interior.

It looks like in Thailand that Jeeps are prone to catching fire. Or else he goes around putting out fires on non-jeep vehicles. 😂

I'm not fixing it, I'm improving it!

escalated war on pestilence, black beauty has been plagued with small ants for 3mths now, surface insecticide inside & out..they're cunning though, so Ant Sand sprinkled everywhere, they take it to the nest, feed the babies, takes 6 weeks to exterminate.

came off a farm, also had a giant huntsman, when I ejected it went me like a funnel-web, they dont like WD40 if yr Mrs is scared, around mirrors etc.
Had one fall down on my cods when i dropped the sunshade once, was in 3 lane traffic too.

also had roaches, snakes, the odd mole, but no leopards!
for a gut laugh

Fitted new copper/brass radiator & top and bottom hoses, replaced leaking thermostat housing gasket, and fitted new rubber trans cooler lines to replace the leaky stock lines. Just fill tomorrow and check for leaks 😊
