Fixed my front end lean. I put a 1.5" spacer in the front left and a 1" spacer in the front right. Got my anti-sway disconnects installed (finally), and installed the 4* shims in the rear end. Unfortunately, I still have a drive train vibe... Looks like it's time for an SYE and new (to me) driveshaft...

I did read a lengthy write-up with pics of fitting dul EL Falcon/Fairmont fans in place of both XJ fans.

For the life of me, I cannot locate it via "search" on here.

Even though it isnt on my immediate horizon, it seemed to be the most cost effective solution, and proven reliable etc, should one proceed down that route

Maybe it wasnt on this forum, but linked somehow, cant imagine it was an O/S one, if anyone can locate the link it would be great, and I can save it?

As a supplementary, do the AU fans work as well (dimensionally)?
These are a known upgrade for older Jags...Commodore V8 rad, and AU twin fans

I've had a Davies Craig 678 tranny cooler for a couple of years but decided I need an upgrade. I bought one of those Derale coolers with a 10" fan attached but I was not impressed with it. Just fitted a DC 679 which is about twice the size of the 678. After a 10km blast up the road it looks the dux nuts.

I shouldn't allow myself to get sidetracked.

Decided to install the rail shifter.
I've mounted it in the console, next to the hand brake lever.
Cut the console to pieces, which was easy, then welded it back together, with an old soldering tip, in my iron.
I was up to wiring, when I decided to buy new connectors and switches, instead of pilfering from old harnesses.
So its not done yet...😳
Soon.
