The hardest part is the upper control arm. Once that's out of the way the rest is quite easy.

After only 5 hours the junk is out. Thanks for all the advices layback and vernicious. I lifted up the front end, removed the oil pipe to the turbo, removed the heatshield (should I put it back??), the front bracket, the 2 bolts on the side of the starter. After a good hour trying to reach the last bolt I decided to remove the engine support. After that everything was very easy. the bolt on the solenoid was seized so I had to cut it in half to take the starter out. So at the end it was not that hard. I wasted 2 hours for the last bolt and for the seized solenoid bolt. Next time (I hope there won't be) will be faster.
Now I'm looking for a new starter, any recommendation on what to avoid?

The starter needs to be heat shielded from the turbo & exhaust pipe or you will cook it.

I thought I was looking at mine for a minute!!!!
I see that you're running the longer bags as I am now running (the original short bags in this pic), much better then the short bags included in the stock kit.
I added a brace behind mine to distribute the load better and so far for the last 9yrs it's been successful....

I'll be honest JJ, I'm a little confused as these are the bags that came in my kit... there's no way they max out at 10.5 inches though, as you can see!
Not that I'm complaining
