This thing is farking huge. Whomever made it is fucked in the head.
They looked at a picture of an XJ radiator, and built off it.
I can't send it back, as I got too far into the install, before realizing, so tomorrow I'll be using two radiator support panels to make one wider one.

Sorry, no pics so far. I was in a rush to get the XJ on the road. I'll try tomorrow.

Just re-read this, this morning.
Hope no-one on here, took this to heart.

That quote was aimed at the radiator specialist I was talking to about repairing my copper/brass jobbie...

Finally got it going.
Didn't get any really good pics, but I had to delete the A/C condenser. Had no pressure anyway...

... and slot the upper isolater holes, towards the grill, to move the rad forwards.

The shroud and e-fan still don't quite fit perfectly. I'll have to re-visit those soon. The mounts are too far apart, as the locating pins barely reach. I had one side of the shroud come loose, on the test drive and contact the fan. It's now booty fabbed with cable ties!!!

The radiator came with bigarse tabs on the top, protuding forwards. These had to be removed, before the rad would go anywhere near fitting.

Maybe I'm getting too fussy as I get older, expecting a product to be fit for purpose and fitting without modification, to product or vehicle...

Oh... FFS!!!!!!! Images later!!!!!

cheers

That's strange that you had problems fitting up your rad. My 3 row ASI ally rad popped straight in and all brackets, hoses etc.. lined up pretty well. I have the triple fan and shroud set up and that just popped on as well.

Cheers,

I fitted a RHD radiator on one of mine because I wanted the trans cooler on the cold side of the tank. The bottom tags for the shrouds don't line up but it was a really easy mod to make them fit.

The subject of cooling an XJ can get pretty heated here.

Have to admit, I've had more than one filter end up with an extra hole punched throug
it by the time it's removed thanks to the convenience of a big flat screwy!
