Just an update and the SOLID bushes were shipped promptly (thanks Danny) and are ready to go in. Just need to find time to do it as usual.

Mal has also given some installation tips for the grease and bush etc in another thread

Hopefully a difference will be felt and also no death wobble to mention either which is awsome!

The vulcanising is probably stronger than the weld it least that's how it seems.
Not sure if I installed it correctly and now questioning myself but see the attched. It seems to work for me atm? Also nothing better than a bit of pussy in the picture

Default Steering stabiliser

I purchased a Rancho Steering stabiliser and received a very similar end bit, not sure what to call it. However it hit my diff. I then found that the bracket piece is either off a TJ, or one of the cherokee models. I then contacted USA 4wd who told me not to use it, and he sent me another bolt to suit. The new bolt had a rounded head and a torq head. I was also infiormed to rotate the tie rod bracket a round a little so that the shaft did not hit the diff.. I just fitted it 1 hour ago, can post a picture if you like, or just drive by on the way to work this week

That bolt on the end of your steering damper is too short.

Default Steering damper

That is becasue it is the wrong bolt. The bit behind the Tie Rod bracket and the stabiliser is off another model Jeep, either a TJ or a Cherokee, It has a tapered end which tightens into a bush as you tighten the bolt. Using that bolt places the stabiliser to close to the diff, and will probably hit your diff, and possibly bend the new steering stabiliser. Use a shock bolt to go through the stabiliser and tie rod bracket.

No hitting on the diff as I checked that hence why the bracket is not in the OEM position, has been used offroad and checked for clearance. The stabiliser is sold as a JK item but the fastener arrangement is obvioulsy not and I am in the process of sourcing the right one. Still works until it breaks

JTO,

How are the Rubi sliders going?

Where did you get them from?
