Just came back from a Noosa North shore trip towing the van (1200kg) and was very impressed at the performance of the Goodyear Duratracs. Dropped the fronts to 18psi like usual and rear to 22 as I had the van on with 140 odd kg ball weight. Was a little nervous as to how it would go in soft sand but on the trip home we found a nice long soft heavily rutted powdery sand section with trees all along it (so I could winch myself out if needed!).
Was very surprised that all I did was drop into 4lo and second gear and keeping the revs around 2000 - 2500 rpm it just crawled through effortlessly.
Just thought I would mention it if anyone was wondering how they go in sand.
And the obligatory annoying photo of our 3 day holidy position
