Just put on 5 X 285/70R17 Bighorns @ $324ea. Now just waiting for the DBOR Front Bar to arrive Wednesday or Thursday.

Playing with pressures to compromise find speedo accuracy. 36psi seemed pretty close, 40psi is underreading, so 38psi next... (Tyres are rated to 65psi.)

I run mine at 30. If too high they become bouncy like basket balls. My stockies are run at 32

Ummmm..... rolling circumference of the tyre does not change with tyre pressure. They have steel belts in the tread and they dont stretch or shrink with pressure. They will sit differently and ride differently, but not read differently on the speedo. And to be honest I think you are up too high even at 36PSI, in general the bigger the tyre the lower the pressure. Stockers recommend 35, I run my stockers at 33.

Hmmm, I see your point, but I'm going off the comparison of the speedo/odometer readings vs. the GPS readout. Over the same ~100km round trip from Blue Mountains to Parramatta via M4, at 36psi 100 on GPS matched 100 on speedo & odo was almost identical. Yesterday with 40, speedo was ~1-2 kph low compared to the GPSr & odo read 98.4km at 100 on the GPSr.

While I agree with your theory, evidence so far seems to say otherwise...

Investigation ongoing.
