I have that size on now and had them before I got the lift and they fit fine, if you are planning on offroad I would agree with drew's advice and go bigger though, I want 305's but will probably end up with 285's.

Thanks guys - appreciate the replies.

I already off road it, don't worry about that - with the 245s and no lift dare I say ("oh my word" cry the hardcore !!!)

A 2 inch lift and an inch more rubber won't change what I can drag this thing through (agreed, it would look MUCH better though). In fact I'd probably back off because I'd have more to lose!

Mate a lift and more rubber will completely change where you'll be able to take your JK, I think you will be impressed

Agreed.
Besides, if you do nothing your Jeep will hang it's head lights in shame.
That's what it was born for. Mods.

Thanks for actually answering the question at hand. WB do you think the rub with 285s was significant enough that 265s at flex could also rub stock setup?

265/70 are same diameter as the stock 245/75 and only 10mm closer to suspension, and only 5mm closer and smaller diameter than some year models 255/75's. So you wont have any problems with rubbing.

I am also runnng 285's on stock rims though with a 2.5in lift and no rubbing.

Sent from a tiny keyboard with fat fingers, apologies for my spelling. .
