Spacers are illegal in Aus too, so I'm not sure of the wisdom of publishing such data / seen to be encouraging their use.
already is one

What's the point of that rehashing and filling the forum up with the same information that is already available. I thought this thread was about clarifying wheel specs etc, although I don't see why we really even need that. We have a sticky topic right at the top will literally hundreds and hundreds of photos already what's the point of sticking them in here again and having them spread all over the place. Maybe some people just need to learn how to search.

As it is this wheel spec info is next to useless for anyone beyond a WH anyway as WK2 owners have little alternative choices in wheels other than aftermarket.

Hanna your 16 x7 early WJ rims I think are confusing the issue, what is the offset of the 16x7 rim.

WTF are you on about? The original idea of the thread was to prevent cluttering up the photos thread with discussion.

If you just want to post or look at photos with basic details of their content just hang out there instead. Simple really.

I agree Fester, however the fact that no one can really confirm the specs of the various standard 5x5 PCD Jeep wheels despite so much information being available I think justifies it's necessity.

I am interested in getting the details correct because I am considering buying either a WH GC or a Commander in future and want to know what wheel options there are, so it's not just for the hell of another thread.

No confusion intended. They have a 6" backspace. Their only relevance is that I opted out on buying 5-spoke 17" JK Moab wheels for my WJ because I believed they were 6.25" backspace, whereas you, Clarky and boost26 have all suggested otherwise.

I'm happy to be proven wrong, I'd just like to know.

This is exactly how I intended this thread to be. Post photos of your wheel / tyre combinations and tell us the specs.

This thread was not meant to be aimed at WH's only. There are a few WK & WK2 owners out there looking for different wheel options. It would be handy for them as well, and they can see photos and get an idea of the look prior to talking the plunge.

Cheers, Craig.

BTW: I agree with the bickering and comments. Lets try to keep it as mentioned above......photos, specs etc.

I think it's easy to compare the 17's but I wanted the actual offset of the 16's to try and explain a little differently to try and clarify once and for all.
