Steve's a really great guy and has been an incredible asset to the Sydney Jeep Club over the last Ten years? (correct me if I'm wrong Steve) You couldn't meet a nicer guy on the trails, spotted the newbies and taught hundreds how to negotiate the rocks. He was our trip co ordinator for ages until his health caught up with him and he had to step down. He has been on fairly strong pain relief medication of late so give him a chance if his posts come across as a bit trippy. He's doing his best to keep in touch with the jeep community and needs our support and patience. I for one have been enjoying his posts and would encourage him to continue, yes sometimes he is hard to understand but be patient.
Thanks in advance, Wolfe.

I sincerely apologise I had no idea you were on medication.

I feel bad knowing this now after I asked what you were on. It was just a jokingly reply.

I had no idea.

I am so sorry. I apologise deeply I feel so bad. And I say that from the deepest meanings in my heart and soul.

I totally agree. I luv ya mate. Keep it up and don't slack off. I look forward to your posts and games. Bugger being trippy. I love the full story on the situation.

And I say that AS REALLY MEANING IT.

Your last line mate.

I copied.

P.S. Never an officer, but try to be a gentleman at most times anyway......... And "never turn your back on someone in need, you can only try to help!"

You may have never been an officer as I but I sincerely thank you for your wit, guidance and fun. God knows I have replied to some dumb posts on here and I am trying to help those who have no idea mechanically.

SUCH AS YOU.

Rastus say's: My incept in life and code I live by.

HELP ALL AS I DO AND ENJOY WHAT YOU DO. YOU MAY HELP IN A SMALL OR LARGE LIGHT. BUT OTHERS MAY SEEM TO ASK FOR HELP SOMEWHAT INSIGNIFICANT OR IN A LARGER SPHERE. AS I SAY TO MANY PEOPLE....THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A STUPID QUESTION. JUST LACK OF KNOWLEDGE.

You keep going Steve as you are, as you crack me up and bring a smile to me each time I read your posts.

GO YOU GOOD THING.

And my favourite saying when I was in the Army.

"It's all good". Never let a bad situation get worse. Keep morale high and look around to what we are going to do. Don't focus on negatives always focus on positives..

Which brings me to my next quote below.

Adapt, Improvise, Overcome"

Luv ya Steve. Keep it up and just keep Julie-Anne on track.

Pity your not in QLD so we can meet up.

When I have a coach job into NSW we are sure as hell going to get together.

So you do what your doing mate and bring a chuckle to me each and everyday as you do when I read your posts.

To the hell with the rest mate.

BRING IT ON.

And you go and have a talk to Jack.

Tell Julie, Rastus approved it. (ask the vet (doctor) first).

And I spot guys on the tracks too. Great fun when they get up. Great feeling isn't it?

AND YOUR A PART OF OUR JEEP FAMILY. SO DON'T YOU GO ANYWHERE OK?

IF YOU DO WE WILL COME LOOKING FOR YOU.

Jeep attack on your house.

Just keep Julie- Anne in check.

WE KNOW WHERE YOU ARE.

Luv ya mate. We are all here for you.

My son in law has a SWB GQ with 2" lift and 32 Bighorns.

He is not really an experienced 4wd driver so he asked me to run as co-pilot with him in his GQ today.

We went into the Glasshouse Mountains and he put that shorty into places he never thought he could under guidance from me and the patrol guys.

We did some mean stuff. Didn't bend or dent anything. Towbar belted a few times. Slow going.

The most interesting part of the day was when we came to a rotten, rutted,
rocky part of he track only reserved for double diff locked vehicles.

My son in law did not do it. Nor did a few others.

One guy there Matt had a swb NJ Pajero 3.5 litre that had ripped out the rear locker air line during the day and had an auto locker in the front.

I got Matt up the track by guiding him. He gave this Pajero hell. I have a
new look on these vehicles now as he blew me away where he took this damn thing today. Matt only knows one speed. FLAT OUT.

We had another GQ wagon do the same track and he was on the last final section when we all heard 2 almighty bangs. He was giving it to it.

He popped both rear springs out of the mounts. Still there but very sideways.

He got it up to the top and then the rain came.

We jacked the left up and I got underneath and we heaved down on the axle to pop the left spring back in. This was on the side of a ridge with an unreal vertical drop off on the right side. Flat wall on the left.

However when we went to jack the right, due to the mud and rain, the truck slid about a foot to the right towards the drop. Leaving about 6 inches before it went tumbling. Jack was dropped real quick and guys pushing the truck.

I noticed a tree right to the left and we got the strap out and lo and behold it was the right length to loop the strap around and back to the truck.

There is a god.

Got back on the jack. Got back down on our backs in the mud and got that spring back in.

New suspension check in order I said.

Springs wrong size. Shock travel too long. Shocks don't work as travel limiters.

Any way we all got home safe.

ADAPT,IMPROVISE. OVER COME

SPRINGS POPPED. You do this Steve too. AOC.

Not popping springs of course

Just need some longer time before the bubble burst's as they say..... "Alway's look on the Bright Side of Life"......
Also follow another "Golden Rule" in life as told to me by a older/wiser/ much more experienced, but somewhat reduced hair volume?? male Charge nurse once seeing me scratch my head at the proceeding at hand going on??
"Stephen!", "I told you before!, Do Not scratch your head, it will still get you no-where, + you will end up with a 'bald patch' or two"...........
"Told you, scratch your ball's instead??, who care's if you are a bit bald down there, who's going to look anyway, plus it usually feels better in the end when you get to the same ending anyway!!"..... Guess who still has hair a bit past their shoulders and have the "Get your 5th hair cut free ticket/card" from the hairdresser about 15yrs old.....Whow, only four more to get there....... They better be still open....... Ripped-off big time........Lol......
As for the pill's, remember, THEY are LEGAL..... Not offended the least... Was not also aware of your situation either at that time and enjoyed the "off the wall question" I think you had posted elsewhere in the site ( it was you wasn't it??)......
A lot of frustration, boredom, time, merry-go-rounds, pill's, said with a slight smile, wonder why?? and not to mention a little bit off green, Jeepless envy thrown in, who's to complain......Lol....... There are many other worse off folk's than me.............
Yep, learn to adapt,. That's why I toddle instead of walking, get to see the view as well along the way..............
As for mechanical knownledge, I am not that dumb, do try to list/learn, admit not the best but also learn't young, especially when about to go out on Hormone night/s out, Hay Jack, you know how to fix a ?? donn't you??"...... Yeah, sure Stephen, show you how!! Wonder who usually got there not smelling off petrol/grease, clothes still clean??
Computor's, well that's a different calling that seemed not come my way, that is why it is "her" computor, safer/cheaper to..........
Thank's & cheers,
Stephen.
