Only had the transmission electroplate done 2 months ago and a full auto flush at the same time
Had a brand new alternator December after I forgot to put the oil cap on properly and the oil killed the alternator the battery is in top shape had it checked and its still under warranty

I did take it to my mechanics this afternoon to get the plug and contacts cleaned on the motor and he said the plug was not in properly and that is was full of gunk so he cleaned the plug and connector and sprayed them both with contact cleaner lube
The message came up on the screen again but got home and hasn't come up again I have to go out later so ill test drive it then
The guys that did the transmission electroplate and flush obviously didn't put the plug in properly
why is it so hard to get jobs done right

Are you talking about the Transfer Case or Auto Transmission? I'm talking about the transfer case.

The alternator failure has not affected the battery?

Spoke to CRDSTU he said it could be my ABS sensors or the solenoid/actuator that drives the 4wd low system
I did some pricing on the solenoid/motor Factory Mopar Parts has them for $335US but Rockauto has reconditioned ones for $180US has anyone tried the reconditioned part from Rockauto

I replaced all the abs sensors 2 months ago so am leaning towards the low 4 actuator solenoid/motor has anyone replaced this item yet and if so how much did it cost for the part here in Australia
STU had done his actuator and how he described it sounds similar to my problem

I am trying to book into the dealership to get a code read as my scanner does not read the BCM part of the car and there are no codes showing up on my scanner
Mine was coming up every time as soon as I would put in low 4x4 because I had only just purchased my WH they fix under warranty they had to replace the actuator. On the bill it's got: Actuator axle locker Part No 52114003AF $73.58, harness electronic front axle part no 52114327AC $62.66 and that's WA prices. Hope that's of some help.

Cheers

Chingy

Transfer case
I think they might have done something to the wiring loom when they did the electroplate in the transmission as we checked the plug to the actuator motor and it was not all the way in
Cleaned it and lubed it and plugged it in properly just took longer for the service 4wd to come up on the display
