well thats not that long a wait. I had ordered mine moths ago. Ordered a renegade unlimited rescue green, the one they got i for me 2 months later was grey interior, not khaki which is what I wanted. When I was told it would be another 9 weeks or so, I chaged my order to a rubicion with hard top. Date rolled around when it was meant to be at the dealer, they told me THAT day that it was still on the wharf!!!! Talk about harsh.....

So, now im waiting. Garage full of parts for it with no jeep, lol.

I ordered my black 4 door renegade on the 27th of March when the dealer promised it would be here in 4 weeks. After 4 different reasons for the delay he now says mine is sitting at a wharf or holding yard in Fremantle. Apparently "When we get someone to find it in the yard it will be put on a truck....about 2 weeks". Up to about 60 days now and still waiting...

There is a major problem on the docks in the US, specifically in Michigan. Tens of thousands of cars ( all brands ) are jam-packed at the docks, at the factory yards and now in shopping centre car parks, too!
I have a number of JKs and Calibers that were built months ago, just sitting there. Fortunately, I have some very patient customers.
It's true, once the boat is loaded, it only takes 4 weeks to get here. Unlike years ago, it's not an "all stops" anymore, more like an "express to Central and City Circle" sort of thing.
The other problem with JK ( and Caliber, for anyone who cares LOL ), is that we have extended the model range, but our allocation has only increased about 35% over 2006 TJ. Can anyone who knows how to operate a calculator work out how many variations in JK we have? There's two wheelbases, two engines, two transmission choices per engine, effectively 3 trim levels, 10 colours, some with alternate interior options, factory options like side airbags and MyGig........
......theoretically, we could sell JKs for a full year and not have any two the same.

Bloody Jeep.

After reading this thread i headed down to our dealership to check on where our order is up to ( Silver unlimited renegade) When we ordered at the start of april we were told the start of june for it to be here, well the dealer manager got onto it straight away and said that the ship ours is on is still due to dock at brisbane on june 6th and then will take only 7 days to get the car ready for us ( gettin a few dealer options as part of a package) so being only about 2 weeks over isnt bad.

What are the chances of getting some kind of free stuff from the dealers for having to wait so long for the cars? Particularly when my decision to get the jeep was based on the delivery date provided by the dealer. Nothing too costly, maybe free seat covers or something else like that??
Has anybody approached their dealers about being reimbursed in some kind for the long wait?
