I'm keen, looking at doing blue rag range track coming in from hotham not dargo, on australia day weekend, may head down towards dargo to do billy goat bluff/pinnacles if i have 'un-clenched' from doing bluerag.

new to 4wding and the tracks im looking at are all doable in 4H (more or less) no lockers no snorkel needed i dont think except need to sus out if i will be crossing the wonnangatta river down on crooked river road, and what the state of it will be in late jan

i'll post back

You should be doing both Billy Goats and Blue Rag in low range otherwise you wont have and auto or a clutch left after your weekend away

I was thinking later feb or march depending on how the weather is at the time (want to avoid super hot days)

Location, I am up to suggestions based on the people who want to come.
and the types of cars,

Just after a small group who can learn from each other, make from friends and talk about how their jeep is better then everyone elses :P

Just show some interest and we can work out finer details on location, dates etc
Hey mate, it's kyle (rexur-8 on ns.com)

I'd be happy to help out with a trip that would be pretty easy going or hard as people want it out at Goughs bay near Mansfield, there's plenty of camping in the pines (walshes rd) that is 2wd accessible or the caravan park if people choose

I'm pretty easy going on dates and it would be a good chance for the missus to get out in her tj

Indeed i just did hawqua hills track in there and That's rated the same as billy goat and blue rag single diamond and the auto got a bit of warmth in her going up that, could not do it in 4H had to be 4L and took us around 3 hours to do the 15k track with 1 water crossings no deeper then 30cm but the hawqua hills camp grounds ( Pickerings hut) river had a bit of water flowing, im heading back up there on the Australia day long weekend again but i want to head up to crags hut and down to king billy track onto zeka spur and follow the tracks to dargo then back around to melbourne then geelong

Time to set a date I think? I need to be in Melb by 3pm 14.2 to leave for Tassie. So if I go it will need to be before that. I am also wanting to leave where I am soon as I have a date to meet up I can make plans.

Regards A
