Aloha all!

Well, the Nitro and the KK sell in equal numbers here. Yes ALL Nitros are 4wd outside the USA. I like the Nitro look better but the dual range transfer case will get me into a KK first. The KK is only NZ$3000 more than a Nitro. The KK is bulit on the Nitro platform (the Nitro was released 9 monthe earlier than the KK. They are the SAME truck underneath.)

Now....I'll bet someone has done a Transfer case swap already......

They don't have the same capability so why bother asking such a question......

If the Jeep Wrangler had the same capability off road as the Chrysler 300 C which would you buy - stooopid questions

Anyway - the Nitro and the KK both suck for off road

The Wrangler and the 300C have nothing in common, although some would wish the JK had a Hemi V8 option. The point of my question was to see what people thought of the styling of the Dodge when put side by side with the KK.

The Dodge has some semblance of retro hot rod styling with the smaller windows and the shape of the grille.

As for sucking off road, it depends on what you intend to do with them ...

Thus far, I have seen more Nitros being driven around than KKs. The latter as rare as hens teeth.

There is a Hemi being fitted to a JK at Hammonds - along with an Atlas Tcase, 37" MT on new alloys.....

Lightbulb It won't matter which in 2/3yrs there will only be one

Steven Landry, vice president of North American sales, told industry analysts that the slow-selling Nitro and its near-twin, the Jeep Liberty, would be merged behind one nameplate within three years.
"If you put sales of Liberty and Nitro together, it's doing what we want it to do," Mr. Landry said while discussing the poor August sales of the two vehicles. "As we move toward 2012, we won't have this dual branding," Mr. Landry said. Experts generally expect the Nitro would be the vehicle to be dumped and, in the past, said they anticipated it would happen before 2012. Cherokee/Liberty's 4,654 sales were up 24% from July in the U.S. Nitro's 1,991 sales fell 71% in August from the same period a year ago.
