Hi,

A very helpful guy at detroit diesel here in Sydney said he knew the Jeep engine very well and it was a "425CXI" model VM engine.
Maybe this will help getting parts from DD.

Yeah, the VM website lists it as a R425....
Jeep call it a HR425 I think...

I'm still waiting for Insurance to process for me.
Handy to know that DD Sydney are more help than DD Perth.
Also found bare long engine for $6k6.... much less than the $9k currently quoted.

anyone got the 14mm 12 slpine long alen key type socket they could hire me
tryed every whare there are none for sale in australia so i cant even get the heads off
this is cr@p
