I like Vista, had a problem recognising a couple of things there but fixed that up,wouldn't go back to XP now.

After SP3 is released for XP support/updates from Microsoft for it will die.

Well if you don't have a Duel or Quad core then no you shouldn't bother upgrading to vista.

I am on my pc's every day, I have a toshiba laptop that runs vista with no problems, I had vista on my server that had MYOB installed on it, again no problems.

I think it also comes down to the user and how they setup the software. Just because someone runs a computer store doesn't mean they know anything about the "new" operating systems.

Server is such loosly coined term these days!

I pers have had my Laptop Quad booting for XP, Vista, MAC and CentOs, XP is the most used for everyday.

MAC yeah cool for awhile, but not very intuitive if you have been Gatewashed!

I was talking about my dedicated server for my business. Business files and operation only.

Otherwise I would have said Media Server by the TV or the Games server under the desk!

Must admit tho, I never got a comp to quad boot!

Backup your info, boot up PC with XP in drive, reformat HD and install XP.
Or, get another drive and make it master and use the Vista drive as slave until you have XP up and running and copy your files from the slave to the master - then reformat and use as a backup drive

Resource hungry, bloated piece of crap, we wont be rolling it out here until it has been shaved down and usable, I had it running on a dual core, 2mbRAM, 512mb video card and it was still struggling, rolled back... have you thought about linux? ubuntu is pretty good.. is good to run on a seperate partition along side XP anyway...
